Here’s a thought: A few areas in our lives that constantly need to be checked-in on are our mental and emotional health. ⠀
⠀
Between job searching, staying up to date with current news, managing normal life during these unsettling times, etc, personally it's been taxing, especially since it's been over a sustained period.⠀
⠀
Our mental and emotional health is more important now than ever. Burn out is real. If there's something recently I've learned in marathon training it is that you cannot sustain a high heart-rate over a long period of time.⠀
⠀
Takeaway Tip: Take some time away from social media, the news, etc and focus on the gifts you do have. This is what my wife and I have been practicing recently and it centers us again and again, and lightens the intangible load we subconsciously carry. Focus on what gives you life. Walk outside. Go for a long drive nowhere. Watch a new movie. Recharge. Celebrate anything. We've made it this far! ⠀
⠀
Jobs, security, and stability are massively important, no doubt. But taking a break to look after your mental and emotional health will give you the rest your soul needs in order to keep going for the long haul. A steady heart finishes marathons!
